Job Description:
Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Tax Credit Lease-Up
Manager, the Tax Credit Specialist - Traveling, is responsible for
the execution and managing of a Low Income Housing Tax Credit
(Section 42) resident initial income qualifying process for an
affordable housing community. The Tax Credit Specialist -
Traveling, act as a liaison between management, third party
reviewers and residents. The Tax Credit Specialist - Traveling will
be required to adhere to a strict schedule, while maintaining best
in class customer service to our
residents.Responsibilities:Participate in initial resident
interviewsPrepare resident initial certification lease packages and
Tenant Income Certification documentsMonitor, track and approve the
collection of eligibility documentationTimely review and approve
resident files in accordance with current federal, state and local
standards assuring applicants are income and program eligible based
on the community's regulatory documentsMaintain an organized and
precise system for the processing of tenant certifications
following all tax credit program regulationsMaintain and update
progress tracking reportsMaintain proper maintenance of tenant
files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to LIHTC
regulationsMonitor changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and

YearQualifications:3-5 years' experience with Low Income Housing
Tax Credit and other affordable housing program compliance
preferredKnowledge of LIHTC income limits and rent calculations,
Fair Housing, Real Estate LicensingCOS or TCS certification
preferred or ability to obtain in first 90 daysMust be organized
and detail orientedMust be a problem solver that thrives in a
fast-paced environmentProven experience in customer service
management is essentialExcellent communication skills are
requiredThis role requires a flexible work schedule and may include
nights, weekends and significant travel
