Job Description:
If you are a hands-on manufacturing professional looking for an
opportunity to grow within a global organization, Emerson has a
great opportunity for you! Based in our St. Louis, MO location, you
will join the team responsible for driving manufacturing projects
at the North America Integration Center (iCenter) facility. The
iCenter builds turnkey process control equipment products for our
industrial customers. In this critical role, you will be the point
of contact for both internal and external customers, with
accountability for a portfolio of up to 15-25 active manufacturing
orders averaging $30K-$70K per project.
AS AN ICENTER PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL:
Be accountable for and own detailed execution processes behind
manufacturing orders/projects with the support of our operations
team
Provide direction to design and production personnel to ensure
manufacturing specifications are adhered to, execution budgets are
maintained, and shipments meet our promised commitment dates to our
customers
Be accountable for finances and respond to changing cost and
revenue trends as well as ensuring accurate resource loading and
procurement forecasting reports are maintained monthly
Provide first-line technical support for manufacturing personnel
assigned to your projects and collaborate with engineering
personnel, as required.
Support proposal efforts as required to ensure sufficient
operations budgets are included in all offers
WHO YOU ARE:
You manage uncertainty with confidence. You research initiatives
and try new approaches. You think about multiple ways to get the
same outcome. You identify the impacts or consequences of
situations and own resolution.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Associates degree in a technical related field with 4 years
relevant experience
Expert level in Microsoft Office suite of tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable
with directing and evaluating tasks/activities to supporting team
members
Basic scheduling knowledge of predecessor-successor logic
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Four-year degree in an engineering or technical related field
(electrical or instrument, E&I)
Practical knowledge and use of scheduling tools such as MS Project
or Primavera
Experience in construction, electrical or automation industry
Experience supporting a high mix medium volume manufacturing or
job-shop organization
Proficiency in presenting information to management and
customers
Drive to understand how things work
