* Role Purpose
* Schedule Main Campus OR Cases : The two resource nurses are
responsible for reviewing requested cases for accuracy;
coordinating with WUSM offices, back desk, phone nurses, resource
nurses and management; troubleshooting capacity constraints; and
finalizing the line-up.
* Billing : The team of three (two resource nurses + billing
specialist) reviews and posts charges for all OR s (Main Campus and
CSCC), APC, PAWS and Cath Lab. Additionally, they provide billing
edit support for IRAD and Therapy. Their broad knowledge is
leveraged for other areas in the house from time-to-time.
* Role Structure : On-campus, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts,
start/end time is somewhat flexible.

Role Purpose
Provides and coordinates direct patient care activities including
assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation
within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Supports
the clinical manager with the delivery of safe patient care and
building an effective work unit.

Responsibilities
* Circulates and scrubs for assigned specialty and OR
procedures.
* Serves as liaison between specialty physicians and hospital.
Reviews and maintains physician preference cards from assigned
specialty. Maintains proper function of equipment in assigned
specialty.
* Serves as a clinical preceptor/mentor for orienteer being
introduced to the specialty area, providing them with clinical
experience that promotes growth and competency. Presents training
sessions on new equipment and instrumentation for nursing and
technical staff members when the need arises. Provides feedback to
the management regarding staff evaluations.
* Manages the inventory of specialty supplies to maintain par
levels. Reviews specialty case cart supplies, custom pacts, for
accuracy and cost effectiveness. Meets with vendors and serves as a
liaison between them, management, and the physicians.
* BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The
ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe
manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Requirements
* Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
* RN license
