Administrative Assistant position available supporting the audit department at UHY LLP, a fast-growing, public accounting firm.Work in a fast-paced department that is looking for an individual who takes pride in quality work. You can be an integral part of our audit department by demonstrating your ability to field numerous requests under deadline and still uphold high standards when producing your work. Maintain engagement letter templates and prepare as requestedFormatting, editing and finalizing financial statements while adhering to Firm formatting guidelinesClose out & finalize work papers after audit is completed; enter details of finished work on monthly log to Quality Control Dept.Formatting audit presentations at the completion of auditFormatting Due Diligence ReportsMonthly billing for audit managersCreation of new client engagement accountsEngagement trackingMaintaining engagement bindersPreparation of SAS reports, Statement of Auditing StandardsMaintain supplies for audit departmentCross TrainingAssembly of Tax ReturnsReception DeskAttention to Detail is a critical skill required for all workSuperior organization skills and dedication to completing projects under deadlineCommunication- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of department employees giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate.Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents so you can effectively proofread and edit documents.Time Management - Managing one's own time to meet deadlinesWork Prioritization- Able to prioritize multiple requests to meet the demands of business and provide timely feedback. Teamwork - Ability to function and contribute within an agile administrative team and be with flexible support especially during busy season.Proactive Approach - Ability to forecast potential problems and suggest solutions.Confidentiality - Ability to keep client and employee information confidential. Willingness to work overtime as neededPreferred candidates will have a minimum of 33 years of experience supporting a professional services firm or working in a business setting.Former experience with CCH Access, Workstream, SafeSend and SurePrep tax software preferred but not required.Previous experience in accounting, financial firm are legal office desirable but not required
