Job Description:

JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for managing all aspects of ARIBA applications including Ariba Procure to Pay (P2P), Ariba Contracts and Ariba Supplier Information and Performance Management (SIPM) as well as the interface to the ERP solution (JDE) and the Capital Accounting solution in order to efficiently and effectively meet business objectives. Provides technical and business guidance to respective teams (Finance, IT and Procurement) responsible for all aspects of implementation and maintenance of the system. Analyzes business partners' operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed
  • Assumes Project Manager responsibilities for managing, planning, monitoring and reporting on key projects from conception through implementation
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of all assigned projects and gains consensus from stakeholders to ensure successful implementation
  • Leads change management
  • Oversees the management of operational issues to ensure appropriate priority and sense of urgency in resolving production issues. This includes the coordination of the respective administrative support teams including P2P, Contracts, SIPM, JDE and the Capital Accounting solution to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Directs to completion key project milestones supporting ARIBA. Tracks and recommends changes to project plans and/or resources as needed
  • Ensures effective communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
  • Communicates and works with Ariba support and internal IT to resolve system, data related and/or workflow issues
  • Evaluates and manages technical changes required to accommodate future requirements/changes in business process
  • Manages and monitors enhancement requests in ARIBA Connect for key functionality not currently available in the product and provide feedback to stakeholders
  • Manages and controls Ariba application upgrades and system maintenance processes
  • Manages defect tracking process, issue resolution and escalation procedures
  • Manages, designs and develops repeatable solutions/configurations by leveraging common process and technology
  • Establishes and manages system controls in accordance with company's policies and procedures
  • Provides documentation as required to internal and external auditors to address design and functionality of the application
  • Oversees and manages accountability of process documentation from the various ARIBA applications
  • Understands the interaction of data between the various ARIBA applications and ERP (JDE)
  • Manages communication for Ariba outage planning - tracks and addresses outages with Ariba, including scheduled maintenance and disaster recover
  • Provides assistance to Strategic Procurement, Legal, Accounts Payable, Tax and Finance

    • Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
    • Solid technology experience and the ability to recognize ad translate business problems into technology-based solutions
    • Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and virtual teams with a mixture of direct and dotted line reporting
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
    • Excellent communication, writing, facilitation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to address internal stakeholders in a professional manner
    • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
    • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field Related Work Experience Number of Years
      • General Ledger/Accounting experience 5+
      • Supervisory experience 2+
      • Managing Projects 5+
      • Ariba P2P and/or Ariba ECLM in procurement Prefered
      • Platforms preferably Ariba (preferably in an On-Demand environment)
