Today, St. Louis Parking Company operates over 100 separate parking facilities capable of housing more than 57,000 vehicles daily. St. Louis Parking Company is seeking an Accounting. This position applies the principles of Accounting, Client Service, Payroll Processing and Benefits Administration to provide support to our clients and associates throughout their respective tenure with the company. They establish and maintain department records and reports, policies and procedures, review of accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and expenses. The position will also record the companys bi-weekly payroll and monthly benefits. St. Louis Parking Company is an EEOC employer. Job Type: Part-Time 25-30 Hours per Week Accounting & Reporting

* Carries out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines * Performs monthly bank reconciliations for all revenue and expense categories to the GL and sub systems * Inputs, posts, reconciles and reviews all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries booked to either a client or coporate account * Assists with month-end closing schedule to include: revenue reconciliation, journal entries, create monthly financial statements for each location, distribute lease payments and reporting packages as required. Backup to Accounts Receivable close processes: Paris and Integration * Assists with the GL maintenance by reviewing journal entries and providing support for year end closing procedures and annual external audit * Participates in reviewing, drafting, distributing and monitoring company accounting policy and procedure * Assists with variance and aging reporting by providing analysis, back up documentation and status regarding action plans to remediate the variance and/or aged trial balance

* Oversees multi-entity benefits enrollment process for all new hires * Works with the Third-Party Administrator to ensure the multi-entitys health and dental plans remain competitive in the marketplace and coordinates activities during the open enrollment period * Manages multi-entity benefits administration including facilitating open enrollment, supporting new hires, and other qualifying events in HRIS system (Paycom) and external carrier portals * Reviews monthly benefits invoice and supports benefits allocation and reconciliation

Payroll

* Review payroll timekeeping process for accuracy and completeness for bi-weekly payroll; contacts Managers to resolve questions, outstanding issues, etc. * Processes bi-weekly payroll for multi-entity ownership including post-payroll analytics for review by ownership * Processes manual checks requests, shortage deductions and garnishment payments * Coordinates via HRIS (Paycom) all third-party administrator applicable tax payments * Provides payroll assistance to managers and Associates in interpreting and applying company practices related to payroll

Qualifications

* Minimum of three years in the Accounting field, payroll processing and benefits administration * Solid understanding of GAAP * Established experience in the areas of GL maintenance, journal entries, month end financial processing and reporting, and variance investigation and reporting * Microsoft Office Product Experience Including: Word, Excel, and Outlook and financial software system (e.g., Dynamics GP, Peachtree, Quickbooks, etc.) * Experience with Paycom or similar Payroll/HR system * Knowledge of Insurance and Benefits processing a plus * Excellent oral and written communications and comprehension skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor or Associates Degree in Accounting a plus * Experience with unemployment administration, FMLA, and worker's compensation * Background in the parking or related property management industry * Prior experience in upgrading and/or transitioning financial software packages
